What is the name of a ninja sword?

The sword carried by ninjas of feudal Japan is known as a “ninjato," “ninjaken” or “shinobigatana.” The ninjato is popularly depicted as a straight-bladed sword that is less than 60 centimeters with a large square guard.

There is no physical evidence from the Sengoku period to the Edo period that the ninjato existed. The weapon's history is only reliably chronicled from the 20th century onward. It appears in movies, television shows, graphic novels and books written by modern ninjutsu practitioners. Ninjato replicas can be found in the Koka Ninja Village Museum in Koka-shi, Shiga, Japan, and the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum in Iga-shi, Mie, Japan.
