What are the names of cobbler's tools?

There are literally hundreds of different types of tools used by cobblers, but the main tools are the knife or scissors, the awl, the last and the hammer. Of course there are needles and threads, nails, and glue to join the parts together.

The most famous and easily recognizable cobbler tool is probably the last, which resembles a human foot. This is used to support the shoe as it is shaped and the parts are joined together. Lasts were originally made out of wood, each one painstakingly carved by hand. Separate lasts were made for the left foot and right foot, and a different pair of lasts were made for each size.
