Napa, or Nappa leather is a very soft, luxurious leather made of the skin of sheep or lamb. It can also be made from cowhide or kidskin. It has open pores and is colored with aniline dyes.
Napa leather is used for everything from gloves to handbags to wallets to the inner detailing of luxury cars.
Napa leather should be kept out of sunlight and not be allowed to get too wet. If the leather item does get wet, it should be air dried. Napa leather should not be dry cleaned, because dry cleaning may strip it of its natural oils. A professional leather cleaner should be used clean it.
