What is the NASA home page?

The home page for National Aeronautics and Space Administration is NASA.gov. This website provides mission information, photo galleries, NASA TV, social media links, and information on the agency and its future.

In 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration partially in response to the Soviet Union's launch of the first artificial satellite. According to the home page, NASA's vision is to reach for new heights and reveal the unknown so that what it does and what it learns can benefit all humankind. As of September 2015, NASA has 20 centers and facilities throughout the United States.
