The country of France has a number of national emblems, but it does not have a national tree. The national flower is the lily, which was the inspiration for the fleur-de-lis. The country even has the Gallic rooster as its national bird.
Most of Frances emblems have some historical meaning attached to them. The rooster is nod to the formation of Gaul and the break from Rome. The symbol of the woman called Marianne stands for the triumph of the French Republic and is one of the most important symbols next to the flag. The flag and Marianne are representations of the country's motto, "Liberty, Equality and Fraternity."
