What are the necklaces MLB players are wearing?
By Forinfos - 25/03/2025 - 0 comments
The necklaces commonly seen on MLB players are cloth ropes twisted together with aqua titanium. The necklaces are made by a California company called Phiten and are supposed to help energy flow.
The company Phiten has been a licensee of the MLB since 2007, however, the Phiten neck wear trend began in 2002 when pitcher Randy Johnson observed it in Japan and then brought it over to the US. The Red Sox players all wore the necklaces in their 2004 World Series run, and the trend took off running from there. Many players now say wearing the necklaces is as much about fashion as it is actual effect.
