Why do you need a home improvement contract?
By Forinfos - 10/04/2026 - 0 comments
Having a contract when hiring a contractor to do any home improvements ensures that both you and the contractor are legally bound to the agreement that was reached. Putting the contract on paper sets the parameters for the expectations for the improvements.
The contractor often creates the contract for the agreement. Read the contract fully before signing it. Check to see that a completion date, total cost and supplies needed to complete the job are included in the contract. By including all of this information in the contract, there is no way you or the contractor can change the parameters of the contract later.
