Do you need a phone to activate an Achieve card?

A phone is not needed to activate an AchieveCard. Instead, a person can log on to the AchieveCard website and activate the card online. To do so, cardholders simply enter required information such as the 16-digit card number, and the card is ready to use.

In order to put more money on the AchieveCard, cardholders go to one of more than 50,000 retailers, such as Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy and Rite Aid. The cardholder gives the amount to add in cash to the cashier who swipes the AchieveCard to load the money to the card. There is a $4.95 fee to reload the card, as of 2015.
