Nerium, also known as nerium oleander, is in the trial phase as a potential cancer treatment in alternative medicine, as of 2015. However, there has been insufficient evidence to support its use, and it is still being tested for its effectiveness, according to the American Cancer Society.
Nerium oleander is a toxic plant that grows in areas of Europe and Asia. All parts of the plant are poisonous, but the active ingredients are extracted from the leaves. No medicinal cure has been successful because scientists have not been able to determine a proper dosage amount due to the poison's side effects.
