The regulation net height for girls' high school and women's competitive volleyball is 7 feet, 4 1/8 inches. This measurement is taken from the center of the net.
A quality net consists of top and bottom horizontal bands of canvas or vinyl running the entire length of the net, with cords to keep the top and bottom taut during play. Nets used in competition typically measure 39 inches wide and between 31 feet, 6 inches and 33 feet in length. The net extends slightly beyond the court width of 29 feet 6 inches, which also measures 59 feet in length.
