What are neutral pH cleaners?
By Forinfos - 21/01/2026 - 0 comments
Neutral pH cleaners have a pH level of 6.5 to 7.5. The pH scale considers substances to be acidic if their pH levels fall between 0 and 7, and alkaline substances have pH levels between 7 and 14.
Alkaline solutions with a pH of 7 or greater are useful for cleaning oil, protein and dirt. Acidic solutions with a pH of 0 to 7 are useful for cleaning minerals, calcium and rust. Solutions that are highly acidic or highly alkaline can irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes as well as react with other household chemicals. Cleaners with neutral pH include mild dish soaps, stone cleaner and baby soaps.
