New Kerry, Massachusetts is a fictional town mentioned multiple times in the Canadian television film "Daniel's Daughter." The film came out in 2008 and was directed by Neill Fearnley.
The story is about a magazine editor, Cate Mandighan, who decides to move back to her small seaside town, New Kerry, to fulfill her father's request to scatter his ashes where her mother Marie is buried and have her best friends sing the same song at the scattering service that they sang at Marie's memorial. When in New Kerry, Cate finds it difficult to maintain her upper-class lifestyle and adjust to the small town environment.
