By Forinfos - 26/09/2025 - 0 comments
An NH compound is a compound that contains both nitrogen and hydrogen. Two common NH compounds are ammonia and ammonium. The chemical formula for ammonium is NH4, and the chemical formula for ammonia is NH3.
Ammonium is the pronated version of ammonia with an additional hydrogen atom. Ammonia is a colorless gas that is commonly used in household cleaning products and fertilizers.
Other NH formulas can be formed with ammonium and ammonia molecules. Ammonia molecules are nucleophilic in substitution reactions, and amines can be formed using alkyl halides. Ammonium ions can be combined with organic radical groups to form organic substances.
