Where is North Port, FL?

The city of North Port, Florida, rests in southern Sarasota County on the state's west coast. Interstate 75 connects North Port with Tampa to the north and Fort Myers to the south.

Set within a thick canopy of oak and pine, North Port does not feature a port but has more than 80 miles of freshwater canals connecting to the Gulf of Mexico. The heart of the business district is U.S. 41, which provides road access to nearby Manasota Key and Venice beaches. Incorporated in June 1959, North Port occupies nearly 100 land square miles and has a population of over 60,000.
