Celery is a good source of vitamin K and also contains small amounts of vitamin C, A and B. One cup of celery contains 30 percent of the daily recommended intake of vitamin K. Celery is also rich in antioxidants and contains folate, potassium and molybdenum.
Celery leaves and greens are even more nutritious, containing five times more magnesium and calcium than the stalks. Celery seeds are considered a natural diuretic.
