What are the odds of being in an airplane crash?
By Forinfos - 07/11/2025 - 0 comments
According to the International Civil Aviation Organization, the worldwide odds of being in a plane crash are about one in 3.65 million as of 2014. The chances of dying in a plane crash are even lower: in 2013, 90 planes crashed and only nine of those crashes resulted in passenger or crew deaths.
Air travel is one of the safest ways to travel. Plane crashes tend to be major international news, but that could be because they are so relatively rare. Every day, almost 100,000 commercial flights are conducted, and very few, if any, of these flights will crash on any given day, let alone have any problems.
