How do you find the oil pressure switch location?

Typically, an oil pressure switch is located close to the oil filter or just under it. It is generally necessary to remove the oil filter to access the oil pressure switch. This requires draining the oil tank and changing the oil.

A low pressure reading by the oil pressure switch triggers the engine oil warning light on the driver's information console. This warning requires an immediate stop, as safety allows, until the cause of the problem can be ascertained. Always check the oil level with the dipstick first, and add oil as necessary. The low pressure reading may be the result of a bad oil pressure switch, but it also can mean an oil leak or a faulty oil pump.
