An oil rig is an offshore platform that is large and capable of drilling wells and extracting natural gas and oil. These massive structures require a workforce that ranges from technical staff and non-technical stuff. This workforce ensures a cohesive running of the oil rig. According to a report by the U.S Bureau of Labour Statistics,162,570 people nationwide work on gas and oil rig platforms, as of 2015.
