As of Nov. 12, 2014, soccer player Neymar is 22 years old and plays for the Spanish club FC Barcelona. Neymar was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on Feb. 5, 1992. Prior to his transfer to Barcelona on May 2013, Neymar played for the Brazilian club Santos FC.

Neymar began his professional soccer career with a senior debut for Santos FC in 2009, earning the Best Young Player award that same year. In 2011, Neymar was an integral part of the team that won the first league championship for Santos in 48 years. Neymar was part of the Brazil squad that competed in the 2014 World Cup but was injured during the quarter-final match against Colombia.
