Where is the oldest topiary garden?

England's Levens Hall is home to the world's oldest topiary garden. Dating back to the 1690s, the garden is still in existence as of 2015, and many of the plants in the contemporary garden date back hundreds of years to the garden's early days. The garden retains much of its original layout and design, making it an authentic experience for modern-day visitors.
For the most part, the topiaries at Levens Hall are geometrical or abstract in nature, depicting shapes and forms rather than objects such as animals. However, there are some objects carved into the bushes and trees at Levens Hall, including chess pieces, umbrellas and peacocks.
