One Man's Junk, or OMJ, is a social selling, classifieds and auction site. One Man's Junk started as a Facebook page for users in Gaston County, followed by additional pages in different counties. As of 2011, the Stanly County group had the most members.
Bill Guyther of Lowell, Gaston County, created the Facebook page in early 2011 as a way to find a dog. He attributes the fast growth of the groups to economic and employment conditions. One Man's Junk promoted a swap meet in New London, where more than 100 vendors, all members of the One Man's Junk Stanly County group, signed up.
