According to Seussville, Oobleck is a sticky, green substance that falls from the sky. Oobleck is introduced in the story, "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" by Dr. Seuss.

Dr. Suess's children's book "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" is a story about Derwin, the King of Didd. He becomes bored with his kingdom's commonplace weather and asks his royal magicians to create a new type of weather. The magicians create Oobleck, big, green globs that fall like rain. The Oobleck creates a big mess in the kingdom and King Derwin must pair up with his page boy, Bartholomew Cubbins, to solve the problem. Oobleck has also become a fun and easy science project for kids. Oobleck can be made at home with corn starch, water and green food coloring.
