How do I open PDB files?

A PDB file can be opened using Microsoft Visual Studio for Web development in C++. If a PDB file on your computer doesn't automatically open in this program, you may have to set Visual Studio as the default program for this type for file.

1. Right-click the file

   Right-click the PDB file. Choose Open With from the menu, then select Choose Default Program.

2. Search the computer

   Select Visual Studio or another appropriate program from the list of programs. If the desired program isn't listed, click the Browse button in the lower-right corner.

3. Select a compatible program

   Navigate the computer until you find the desired program. Double-click the program to open the PDB file.
