How do I open a PES file?

PES files are used for storing information about embroidery patterns used for decorating clothes and other items. Opening this file type generally requires a compatible computer-aided manufacturing program, known as CAM.

  1. Select the PES file

    Locate the PES file you want to open. Right click on it to open a menu.

  2. Select Open With

    Move the mouse over the Open With option to display a list of programs associated with the PES file. Select the one you want from the list and click it.

  3. Choose the program from your computer

    If the desired program is not in the list, click Set Default Program. Search your computer for the program you want and click it. The PES file selected as well as all future PES files are now automatically opened with this program.
