Businesses that sell electronics often also have e-waste recycling programs, some of which offer free pick-up. For example, many Best Buy and Sony locations offer haul-away and pick-up options for recycling.

Other companies provide mail-in services, through which cell phones can be mailed in for recycling, eliminating the need to drop them off or arrange for in-person pickup. The shipping charge is typically low, since most cell phones are not too heavy. Companies such as LG and Samsung offer mail-in services to recycle different types of cell phones and other electronic devices.

Companies such as Dell, Staples, Sprint and Panasonic offer free drop-off services for electronics, but do not pick up the items.
