How do you find over-55 communities in your area?

To find over-55 communities in your area, visit Lennar.com, SeniorHomes.com, SeniorHousingNet.com or 55Places.com. These age-restricted communities require at least one of the permanent occupants to be 55 years or older, explains SeniorHomes.com. The communities provide a place for seniors to live and maintain a lifestyle with other seniors.
You can view listings of communities by state, or you can enter your city and state or ZIP code to search each senior community site. As of 2015, Lennar.com only offers listings for nine states. SeniorHomes.com, 55places.com and SeniorHousingNet provide listings for all states. Some services allow you to buy or rent a home in a community, notes SeniorHousingNet.
