The signs that signal ovulation include changes in the cervical mucus, an increased sex drive, tender breasts and an increase in the body's basal temperature, according to About.com. Other signs of ovulation include light spotting, abdominal bloat and heightened senses, notes the American Pregnancy Association.

When ovulation is near, the cervical mucus usually has a cloudy white appearance. During a woman's fertile days, an increase in sex drive is common, usually occurring a few days prior to ovulation, reports About.com. Basal temperature is the body's temperature during inactivity. It rises slightly during ovulation. Breast tenderness occurs due to an increase of hormones related to ovulation.
