The owners of Micromax Mobile are Rajesh Aggarwal, Rahul Sharma, Vikas Jain and Sumeet Arora. Micromax is the largest seller of smartphones in India, followed by Samsung.

Micromax originally began as an IT software company in 2000. Now, Micromax is a manufacturer of smartphones, tablets, LED televisions, and 3G data cards. As of 2014, they expanded their smartphone sales to Russia, being the first Indian company to do so. Several owners, including Aggarwal, were arrested in August of 2013 for reportedly bribing city officials in Delhi, India. Despite the notoriety of the arrest, the company remains the most successful phone seller in India.
