Aston Martin is a privately held company owned by Investindustrial, Investment Dar, Adeem Investment, David Richards, Ford Motor Company and Daimler AG as of 2014. It is headquartered in the village of Gaydon in Warwickshire, England.

The British car manufacturer produces luxury performance vehicles. The company was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford in London. The first car to be called an Aston Martin was made by Lionel Martin and consisted of a four-cylinder Coventry-Simplex engine paired with the chassis of a 1908 Isotta-Fraschini. As of 2014, the models made by Aston Martin include the Vantage, the DB9, the Vanquish and the Rapide S.
