Who painted the Broadway Boogie Woogie?

The Broadway Boogie Woogie was painted by Dutch abstraction artist Piet Mondrian. Mondrian created the abstract Broadway Boogie Woogie to represent the restless motion of New York City. He completed the painting between 1942 and 1943, which was his final work of art before dying in 1944.

Mondrian was born in Amersfoort, Utrecht in the Netherlands and attended Amsterdam Academy from 1892 until 1894. He finished his studies while attending part time from 1896 until 1897. A pioneer of Abstract art, he developed from landscape pictures to geometric abstract works of art. Mondrian painted landscapes in the Hague School Tradition with his friend and painter Simon Mans.
