What is a papillon poodle mix?

A papi-poo is a mix of a papillon and a poodle. It falls into the "toy" dog group. Papi-poos are about 10 inches high and weigh between 7 and 10 pounds.

The very curly, medium-length coats of papi-poos shed slightly. They come in gray, brown, chestnut, red, apricot, black or white. Some have white patches. Many papi-poos have floppy ears and curly tails. The coats need regular bathing and brushing and are often clipped short. These dogs are friendly, playful and smart. They often act as alert dogs, barking warnings to their owners. Socialization training is important from an early age.
