What is a parabolic heater?

A parabolic heater is a type of heating system that uses a ceramic core to radiate heat. As of 2015, a parabolic heater is generally slightly more expensive than a quartz tube radiant heater but has the same amount of heat output per watt.
A parabolic heater that uses a ceramic core is generally safer than heaters that use coils as there is less chance of an accident occurring. Because a parabolic heater has a larger heating area, it operates at a cooler temperature while maintaining the same heating efficiency as other radiant heating systems that show comparable energy usage.
