What is a passcase wallet?

A passcase wallet is a men's wallet or folder that has a removable, two-compartment, see-through pass case that can also flip up. It often has space for credit cards, two identification compartments and large bill compartments.

Some retailers list the wallet as a "bifold" wallet, but not all bifold wallets are actually passcases. The clear portion traditionally holds the identification card or driver's license so that they are easy to show if someone gets carded. While traditionally sold for a man, brands like Fossil have also introduced a passcase for women. A person can also buy a clear plastic casing for his wallet without purchasing the whole wallet.
