Prince George's County, Maryland does not charge a fee for the collection of approved large trash items. To arrange pickups, residents must only schedule the service in advance by calling Waste Management or choosing a collection time on the county website at PrinceGeorgesCountyMD.com.
The county's waste management service accepts household furniture and most appliances. Vehicle tires are also accepted, along with carpet and residential doors. Residents can have hot water heaters and lawnmowers collected, with removal of the gas tank and any oil.
Waste Management does not accept hazardous wastes and liquids, including paint or sewage. Glass objects, like windows and mirrors, are not allowed.
