Some members of Selena Quintanilla's family are her brother and father, both named Abraham, her husband Chris Perez and her sister Suzette. Selena was a Latin music singer known as the "Queen of Tejano Music." Yolanda Saldivar, the founder of Selena's fan club, killed the singer on March 31, 1995.

Selena, born in Texas on April 16, 1971, started as the lead singer of her family's band, Selena Y Los Dinos, when she was 10 years old. Her sister played drums, her brother played bass guitar and their father managed the group. In 1992, she married the band's lead guitarist, Chris Perez.
