What is the permanent press dryer setting?
By Forinfos - 20/02/2025 - 0 comments
The permanent press setting on a dryer has a medium level of heat; on many dryers, the setting also has a 10-minute cool-down period that uses air at room temperature. This combination of medium heat and a cool-down period prevents garments from wrinkling.
The permanent press setting is generally recommended for synthetic fabrics, such as polyester and nylon, but it can also be used for natural fabrics, such as linen and lightweight cotton. It is the optimal dryer setting for any garments with "permanent press" on their labels, but it can also be used for garments labeled "tumble dry medium" or "tumble dry."
