How does a person delete a comment on Facebook?

To delete a comment on Facebook, use the pencil shaped icon that shows when hovering the cursor over the comment. This is the editing and deleting symbol on the site.

When a comment needs to be deleted on Facebook, it only takes a few clicks to get rid of it. The light gray pencil-shaped icon pops up in the upper right-hand corner when the cursor hovers over a comment. A person can delete or edit a comment he or she has made, or can choose not to see a comment made by someone else.

Step 1: Hover

Hover the cursor over the comment to bring up the pencil icon.

Step 2: Select

Scroll the cursor down to select "Delete."

Step 3: Click

Click on the word "Delete."
