The loris lives in lowland forests of Sri Lanka. There are three subspecies: L. tardigradus tardigradus is the smallest loris, L. tardigradus grandis is larger than the other subspecies and has more fur on its body and L. tardigradus nycticeboides has long fur and hairier hands and feet than the other subspecies.
