It is unknown exactly how many green anacondas there are in the world, but according to the Atlanta Zoo, these snakes are not endangered in the wild. The area they live in has a low human density, plus they are large and difficult to catch.
Female anacondas usually give live birth to about 30 babies although not all of them survive. In rare cases, a single clutch can be as large as 100. Anacondas are native to South America, and they live up to 10 years in the wild and 30 years in captivity, according to Animal Fact Guide. They are a member of the boa family and kill their prey through constriction because they do not have any venom.
