What is a Norwich terrier?

The Norwich terrier is a small dog that was first bred in the East Anglia area of England. They were used to kill rats and to flush out foxes during foxhunts. This dog has pricked ears and a wiry but straight coat that can be several colors.
The Norwich terrier is a lively and affectionate dog that makes a good family pet. It is small enough to live comfortably in an apartment but like all dogs needs to be walked regularly. It stands about 10 inches high at the shoulders and weighs about 10 to 12 pounds. The Norwich terrier can live from 12 to 15 years.
