Do Pomeranians shed?
By Forinfos - 24/05/2026 - 0 comments
Pomeranians shed all the time. A Pomeranian sheds his entire undercoat at least once over the course of a year. Because of this, the dog needs meticulous and frequent grooming.
Despite the propensity to shed, Pomeranians are sweet-natured, active and affectionate pets. Grouped in the category of companion dogs, they are small and suited to living in apartments though, like all dogs, they need to be walked daily.
The Pomeranian stands about 7 to 12 inches high at the shoulder and weighs between 3 and 7 pounds. The uppercoat is long and harsh, and the undercoat is fluffy. A variety of colors is acceptable.
