What is a puggle?

A puggle is a so-called designer dog with one beagle parent and one pug parent. Puggles generally have short, smooth coats, creased muzzles and thick bodies.

According to Puggle.org, adult puggles weigh from 15 to 30 pounds and stand up to 15 inches at the shoulders. The males are bigger than the females. Puggles are curious, energetic and good around people. Puggle owners should brush their dogs once a week. More frequent brushing is necessary if hair is found on furniture and clothing. Walking a puggle up to 30 minutes a day is adequate exercise, and puggles enjoy play areas, such as a secure yard.
