What is pink kryptonite?

Pink kryptonite is a form of kryptonite appearing in Supergirl #79, volume 4, that temporarily turns Superman homosexual after he is exposed to its radiation. Apparently, pink kryptonite's effect on Kryptonians is to make them gay.

Like all forms of kryptonite, pink kryptonite was introduced to Earth via meteor showers resulting from the destruction of the planet Krypton. The Supergirl #79, volume 4, storyline occurs in an alternate reality. The classic kryptonite mineral occurs in green and has the effect of temporarily draining Superman's strength and abilities on Earth when he is exposed to its radiation while simultaneously granting humans around him temporary superpowers.
