What is the plot summary for Divergent?

"Divergent" follows the character Tris, who lives in a futuristic society divided into factions. Citizens must choose a faction to live in and stay in that specific field for life.

Tris chooses the faction called Dauntless, made up of the bravest people in the world. However, it is revealed that Tris is what the society refers to as Divergent, a person who does not fit solely into one faction. This is illegal in her world, so she must hide her status as Divergent. The story follows her as she tries to conceal her secret while discovering a war that is on the verge of breaking out, putting Tris' entire family at risk.
