What is a "Pokemon FireRed" list?

The Pokémon FireRed list is a list of Pokémon according to their habitats. The list order places Pokémon that are closely related to each other. Other lists, like the National Pokédex, detail each Pokémon numerically.

This list does not assign the Pokémon new numbers. Pokémon with a National Pokédex number higher than 386 are not included in the list because they were not obtainable in FireRed. Pokémon trading cards were introduced in Japan in 1986 and came to the United States in 1999. When new generations of Pokémon video games are released, a card expansion featuring the new Pokémon characters typically follows.
