Where is Poland?

Poland is situated in central Europe. The country borders the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine and Belarus. Poland is bordered by the Baltic Sea to the north, where its coastline stretches for about 270 miles.

Poland's land primarily is in the form of level plains, with mountains located near the southern border. Poland covers a total area of approximately 121,000 square miles, being a little smaller than New Mexico. It is the 70th largest country in the world, as of 2014. The capital and largest city of Poland is Warsaw, found in the vicinity of the eastern central part of the country.
