What is pole barn insulation?

Pole barn insulation is a type of foil insulation used to minimize extreme temperatures and moisture levels inside a barn. For barns that are used to house livestock, reflective insulation is used to reduce the animals' heat stress. Reflective insulation can be used to deflect heat and resist moisture.
Reducing heat stress on livestock by installing pole barn insulation can help a farmer avoid lower animal productivity and even animal death in extreme cases. An uninsulated barn can have trouble with extreme temperatures because sun exposure can become absorbed by the roof and poles of the structure. Poultry and livestock can have trouble regulating their internal heat at high temperatures.
