How do you polish boots?

To polish boots, apply paste polish, allow it to dry, and buff it to a dull shine. Apply gloss polish, and continue buffing until the boots are shiny. Finish the job off with a nylon cloth.

1. Prepare the boots

   Remove the laces. Brush off any dirt or debris from the surface of the boots.

2. Apply paste polish

   Use the polish applicator to apply a medium layer of paste polish over the boot. Use a toothbrush to apply a thick layer to the welts, which is the area where the leather meets the sole. Allow the paste polish to dry for 10 minutes.

3. Dampen a cloth

   Dip a soft cloth into water. Wring it out gently so it is damp but not dripping. Wrap the cloth around your index finger so it is wrinkle-free.

4. Buff the wax

   Using medium pressure, run your cloth-covered fingertip in circles over the boot. Continue buffing until the wax starts becoming shiny.

5. Apply gloss polish

   Dip the damp cloth into the gloss polish. Scrape it off until only a tiny amount of polish remains. Apply the polish in the same circular motions until a hazy shine results. Use different parts of the cloth as it becomes saturated in polish, making sure to dampen it first.

6. Increase the pressure

   Apply more pressure to increase the friction. Polishing each boot takes a minimum of 30 minutes, so don't stop prematurely.

7. Finish the polish

   Using a nylon cloth, give a final buff over the entire surface of each boot.. Re-lace the boots.
