Portofino, Italy, is located on the northwest coast of Italy along the Mediterranean Sea in an area known as the Italian Riviera. It is in the province of Genoa and the region of Liguria.

Portofino is the size of 1 square mile, with a population of 493 people as of 2009. Nearby beaches include Paraggi, Lavagna, Camogli, Chiavari and Sestri Levante. Major sights in Portofino include the underwater Statue of Christ of the Abyss, the Church of St. Martin, the Church of St. George and the Oratory of Santa Maria Assunta. As a fishing village, Portofino is located 13 feet above sea level.
