What is powder coating for rims?
By Forinfos - 20/08/2025 - 0 comments
Powder coating is a method of finishing metal rims. A fine ground powder of resin and color is sprayed on the rims. The rims are then heat-treated to permanently attach the colored resin to the metal. Powder coating is much more durable than paint. It resists chipping and scratches.
Powder coating can be applied in a wide range of colors. Since it does not use harsh chemicals or solvents, power coating is environmentally friendly. However, unlike paint, powder coating cannot be re-finished easily. Paint can be re-applied in a different color whenever desired, but not powder coating. Once applied, the color of a powder coat cannot be changed with ease.
